Pitch reflection 4

Summaries the duties you performed this week within your role 

This week my duties was to work independently on my mode of address because I needed 
to make sure that I had done the work to a good standard also I was learning my lines for the live day because , I didn’t want to use the script then after I had to print of the final script to make sure that all of the previous script was all on point with the final script however I took the pictures of myself in different clothes to outcast the different type of clothing that I would wear on the day, but with the script Riteeka couldn’t make it so we had to use Theo it was a last minute thing but everything was all good. On Wednesday we had a rehearsal practice because I and Connor wanted to see how the set would be and we had to try to make the show funny.

what has been successful this week

This week we have got all the work done so that was successful all of us have worked really hard at first it was hard but then all of us was dedicated and we got the work in time and I had learned majority of my line the experimenting of the clothes was successful because I had an overview of what Connor was going to wear and the team gave us positive feedback on what we should wear or change.

What could you have changed or develop and why

The thing that I should change is that I should have tried different hairstyles also maybe of changed some of my costumes just in case it was hot on the day and I need to stop reading from the script.

How did you work with your team this week was your work effective 

This week I have worked effectively with my team especially with Connor because me and him were the presenters but at first it was hard but over the period we had been working really close we started coming up with ideas on how to make the show entertaining also I worked really closely with Chloe because she was the directing because we had to make sure that everything was perfect so overall everyone has worked hard and I’m happy with them because we were all motivated and dedicated.

How would you judge your performance on live day explain your answer with examples from your day

The live day was successful because me and Connor was prepared for this show but before we started the show we had some rehearsal practice we did this rehearsal four times, the first go was bad because we didn’t know what we was doing the second go was better than the previous one and the third was ok but we had some up and downs for example the lines of the script that was a issue,  but on the last and fourth go we got everything spot on me and Connor didn’t get anything wrong we had supported each alongside with the team so I was happy with everything and everyone because practice makes perfect and hard work pays of just like today.

Outfits
in this section I will be trying out different type of outfits, then I will be evaluating the outcome of the outfits.I will then have to come to an end and I will have to pick an outfit that I will eventually wear.

Outfits - For the show I have selected 4 different outfits in the style of smart casual.

Outfit 1- The first outfit that I have decided to wear is light blue jeans, black jumper, bucket hat and trainers. The reason why I decided to choose this outfit is because it is a smart/casual look and it will also relate to the target audience of 14-20 year old's. also the colour scheme that I went for was a black and blue theme because it could catch the attention of the audience because they are urban colours.

Outfit-this is outfit is a everyday type of clothing also I looked up 

Outfit 2- The second outfit that I have decided to wear is a red and dark blue Tommy Hilfiger t-shirt, black trousers and Nike trainers with a bucket hat. The reason why I decided to choose this outfit is because they are everyday clothes and it will relate to the target audience of 14-20 year old's.However I wouldn't be able to wear this for various reason because of the stripes.

Outfit 3-The third outfit that I have chosen is one that doesn't look urban, I went for a more smart/casual look because I think that it would appeal to audience because that's the way that the 14-20 audience dress and I think that it can come across to the audience because of the way that i'm dressed. I also think that it can come across to the camera because it's bold colours and it's really easy to be noticed and I would keep everything and I wouldn't change anything. 











Outfit-4 The fourth outfit that I have chosen is one that looks urban but  with a classic twist at the same time, I have also tried black skinny jeans with a white and black shirt with a bucket hat. This is because I want to go for a more classic look so it can appeal to the audience and add a little character.also for this outfit I have also looked at different people as in the way that they dress and I had tried to make it classic.




Outfit-5

This is this Fifth outfit that I have tried and I will be wearing this because its that smart/casual look also it looks appealing to the audience because 14-20 people sometimes dress like this also I would be wearing the bucket hat because majority of artist wear bucket hats and the colour would match with the outfit.




The outfit that I have decided to wear is the outfit 5 but my first thought was outfit-3 but on the day it could be hot i would like to wear a big jumper which I will be sweating in so I have gone for outfit 5 because it will keep me warm because the clothes that i'm wearing are light so it will cool me down. Also the white matches with the logo.



Hairstyles 

For this section I have tried out different types of hairstyles and accessories (hats) and underneath I have tried different type of hair styles and hats because I want to see if it would fit the clothes such as dress sense. 

Hat- Bucket hat

For this one I have tried on a bucket hat because I think that it would fit with the clothes because the clothes that I have tried it blends in well because the hat is blue also blue goes with anything also when I take of my hat, it doesn't mess up my hair so that the good thing about it. I think that it will come across to the camera because it depends on the outfit that I will wear because if I wear anything the bucket hat will stand out also , I have tried on sunglasses because I feel like it can come across with the camera and the audience and it has a unique style to it.

For this I have decided to call this hairstyle the curls because I feel like I need to let my hair out by doing this i don't have to comb my hair it's just naturally curly however i think that it can suit well with the outfits and I've went for this curly hairstyle because majority of artist that you see on Tv there hairstyles are curly and I think that it can appeal to the audience.

This is another hat that I have tried out i've also tried it with different outfit and I like it because it's urban and it will come across because it looks like a got an animal on my head so it would make the show entertaining and it's funny.

Hairstyle-4

i've went for the Tupac haircut and it goes by the name my the juice haircut i've went for this one because you can see by the picture(Right) it look like an urban hairstyle also If I have this hairstyle with the outfit I think that it will appeal to the audience also it kind of looks smart as well I may even get some good complements out of it.






Hairstyle-5

This hairstyle is called the messy hairstyle and It would not appeal the audience although some artist have there hairstyle messy that can have an effect on them for example they could be crazy.also it didn't match my character and it doesn't fit with the style of clothing that i'm going to wear.









The hairstyle that I would have on the day is hairstyle-4 and I would wear the bucket hat as I think that it will have an artistic influence to the audience because it's unique and i have been experimenting a lot this two combination are the best.

Production meeting reflection 3

 This week I have been working on the script but the script wasn't finished so then I finished it for example I had to change the structure and the layout of the script and I had to time myself because I wanted to see if I’d match with the time phrase that it had on the script so as well we had also changed the time because the times didn’t match. I performed well within my role also, I had to film myself because I am the presenter alongside with Connor and we had to write about the tone and voice we had to speak in so that was why we had record it and this also helped us because we’re are growing as a unit such as trying to make it entertaining to watch so we watch ourselves back.

This week I have been successful because I have completed the script and I have completed the mode of address also finished my filming for the mode of address then I have uploads onto YouTube then I put it on my blogger.

The thing that I should develop is that I should put the script onto blogger. 

Next week I indent to finish the costume and hat section for the mode of address then I will prepare for the live day and however we will have to finish all filming the pre-recorded I will also have to finish the production log 4.

This week I have work effective with my team because we all helped each other with script but it took time but in the end we got there.

Mode of address

During this week I have been trying out different styles of mode of address by this I have been trying out different speaking techniques to see if it would entertain the audience because we would want to make the show entertaining and funny to watch how ever we were trying to see what speaking technique would work best with the theme and style of the show we are also trying to speak in a way that the 14-20 year old region can relate to by doing this we have kept to the brief. 

Also we are doing this for a purpose because when we are going to film ourselves we would want to watch ourselves talking in them specific tone  so when the live day approaches we would know what tone and voice to speak in so it would make the audience more engaged with us also if we use slang in word it can eventually have an effect on the youths and as myself and Connor we would not want to influence the youths to talking in that manor so this is the reason why we are trying out different tone and voice.

Underneath you can see that we have tried different tones which could potentially apply with the audience but at the end we have chosen one.

The Script

Running Order

During this week I have been working closely with the director and editor because we needed to figure out the running order and we had to try to fit in different elements such as the pre recorded and we have been trying to get some school pupils to be able to be the actors in the street and to participate in the show how ever we have completed the running order also we gave ideas to the director.                                                                                                                                                                                   

The groups response to the idea was positive but they had no feedback but mrs lowndes gave some feedback for example she said that we should change some events such as the Skype call because it might not be a to fit in the show because it would put pressure on to the Vt operator.

the things that we need to develop is the running order but we have finished it but we just need to go into more detail because it can help my classmates because then they would have the structure of the running order so that they would be able to refer to it as it will give them a guidance.

For our running order we need to change the skype call because it might not be able to fit in the running order and we need to develop our running order.

What I intend to do next week is to plan and write my script for the show.

This week I've worked well with my hierarchical peers such as the director(Chloe) and the editor (Zahir) . We all helped with the running order,  we worked in harmony by collaborating and making sure that the project will be successful. 

Production Meeting Reflection

  

Last Friday we had a production meeting that was in a classroom but it was set like a conference room and then we had 8 people that had to pitch their ideas and we had to listen to the peoples pitch however we had a sheet to fill in and we had to assess them on their performance and we had to give them any improvement.

The groups response to my idea was good because I got some good feedback and they were really positive such as the teacher gave me some suggestions that I should have a female presenter when I go to film in the streets because it would make the show more entertaining to watch and it would appeal to both genders, and my U.S.P would have to be asking the audience in the streets about their favourite music artist.

I voted for Chloe's idea and her title is called Face of music I've decided to vote for her because she had some good suggestions for example the missing the lyric and this will have the audience interactions so it will make the show engaged.

The Idea that I liked about Chloe's is the way the audience is being involved such the twitter feed and that one of the audience has a chance to win the competition.

The brief had some aspects such as we had a program format and we had been approached by E4 and she stuck to the brief because it included interview, competitions and it had involved some music content and in total it would make the show last up to 30 minutes and it was aimed at 14-20 year old

There is no specific area were Chloe should develop because her idea was clear and she made some good suggestions.

The other ideas that I would like to include would have to be asking a member of the public about their favourite artist and what favourite song there into and they can potentially win a prize that they can spend in any music shop.

Treatment for Multi-Camera TV program

Programme format

we have been approached by E4 and we have to produce a content that is relevant to music video and the genre of the content is a magazine music show and it's aimed at 14-20 year old and it has been to be shown by a British audience.However the show need to have 15 minutes of live content and it needs to have 30 minutes of adverts also we would include a variety of interviews,competitions and music video to make the show more interesting.

Title Show

Feel the Music 

For the title I have brainstormed different names but I decided to go for Feel The Music for the show because the Title says it all from being energetic and the colour for the title would have to be bright colours because it can appeal to the audience and they would be engaged and the title is very urban also when you listen to music you can feel the beat of the music and it activates that nerve in the brain to allow you dance.








Contents Ideas

Presenters

For my show I would like to have one male and one female because it would be equal because some of the female audience would be able to relate to the female such as there are different type of interests and the male would be able to relate to the male. The female presenter and the male presenter would need to have a good relationship and they would need to be able to have a joke so then the audience will find it funny.

Music video

For my show I would like to include music videos because the audience would  be able to enjoy the content and it would be the audience that picks the music videos that they like but the three music videos that I have chosen is: Rashaan's music video and Monique's music video and the last one is my own one.

Competition

For my show I would like to have a trying to spot which artist it is but this will be during the show because we would want to entertain the audience and the guests will be taking part in this competition and if they win they will be able to win prizes for the audience also the prizes would consist of winning a £5.00 HMV voucher which you can spend on any time of music album.also the competition would involve the audience and they would have a few seconds to guess but they would have a piece a paper so they can tell which audience it is

Guest

The Guests that I have chosen would have to be kumari because he would play the part well because his confident and his entertaining.

and the other guest that I have chosen would have to be Micheal Jordan because I think that his funny and he will bring some entertainment to the show

This is my Studio Design and this is how I want the show to be layed out.




Studio design 

The Studio design is essentially how the studio will be laid out and how it's going to look like

• Soft comfy chairs because we would want the audience and the presenters to be relaxed because it's music show.
• Logo of the show behind the chairs because then the audience would be able to recognize the show. 
• colored lights will be blue and pink because blue and pink is a nice color also it's very urban. 
• the background of the studio would be covered with artists to show the success of the artists.
• the studio will have a fan just in case it get's to hot so it can cool down the audience and the presenters.
• There would be a desk covered with music pictures because it will be about music.
• I've chosen these two studio because it would be similar but we will change a lot of the areas such as the podium because I think that it will look better with chairs.

Sketch of background 

The sketch of the background is how I want the the background to set. The background consists of the logo being in the middle and around the logo they will be music notes around it. I've chosen the music notes for a specific because it's the genre of the music, and I went for basic colours because I don't want to distract the audience and in the middle I have the logo because it's eye-catching and it would attract the audience.










Visual Style

For the visual style I would use different camera angles and camera movement because it will allow me to cover the action because the audience would like to see the set of the studio and Ii will have close-ups on the guests and presenters because it will let the audience see there facial expression and by looking at there facial expression the audience would be able to judge what mood their in whether it being happy of angry or maybe sad.
The camera movement should have a flow between the guests and the presenters it should move swiftly and if the camera movement is not good throughout the show it will have an effect on the audience because it will make them be confused also they would not be able to keep on track with entire show because the movement maybe too quick or to slow.
However we would have different cameras to catch the action in case one misses the action.



Presentation Style 


For the presenters I would to like to have two presenters from different ethnicity
I would like them to wear urban clothes because it's a music show and inner city teenager.
I nominate Connor because he has a good dress sense that relates to the show and it reflects the viewers. I believe that Connor is good for presenting because his in that age region of the target audience.
Another reason why Connor is suited for presenting is because he talks in a way that reflects the  target audience for example he uses Slang in and terms that people aged 14-20 use regularly in urban London.
I would nominate myself because i'm confident and I can be a good presenter because i'm also in that 14-20 region but I wear smart clothing but it will be up to the director to decide what to wear, but in this case they would me wear urban clothes, and also it can relate to the audience.

Job Roles of a Multi-Camera

Camera Operator

Duty 

The Duty of a Camera Operator is to be able to carry heavy equipment and you will need to have good stamina.
 Camera Operator you need to have a strong understanding with the technology and you will need to have knowledge about the relevant electronics and you need to have strong knowledge of how Camera works.
Another duty for Camera Operator is that you, need to operate one of few Cameras by capturing images at the same time(Multi-Camera) while taking directions from the director.

Skills

• The Skill of a Camera Operator is that they need to be a able frame and compose shots and perform camera moves with accuracy and speed such as you need, to be able to be accurate and sharp with the way the Camera moves .

• A Skill of a Camera Operator is that you need to have good communication skills and show diplomacy and sensitivity when working with the artist and the production staff and crew.
• To be able to carry out instructions with great accuracy and attention to detail

Another lighting duty is that you need to carry out any risk assessment and a health and safety in case one of the colleagues gets injured.

• The skills of a Lighting Desk is that you need to have to have good creativity and problem-solving, because you will be able to solve out were the bulbs go and you can experiment with the lighting.

• And they especially need to have good colour vision because if there color vision is bad then this lighting job would not be suitable for them because the light's are all the same colours along side with the buttons.

• another skill is that they need to be able to work under pressure and they must have good composure.

The VT Operator are responsible for action replays and quickly editing highlights while the show is still going on.Another Duty of a VT Operator is that they need to be reliable such as taking charge of the video tapes, making sure nothing is lost.

The Duty of a Presenter is simple because they are the ones who are the important one in the show and they and as part of there job they need to have to do some research and they need to have good interview skills and your knowledge needs to be good because that how they get there information.

A presenter need to be on time and they need to be reliable because then they can get show the content live but if they are late it will slow things down and the filming won't be done.

• The skill for a good presenter is that you need to be able to retain the information such as having a good memory.
• another skill for a presenter is that you must have good performance skills and your voice need to have a clear voice because if you do not have a clear voice the audience would not be able to here you so it's good to have a loud and clear voice.
• The Final skill of becoming a good presenter is that you need to have a strong personality because with a low moral you won't be motivated to perform and with confident.

Multi Camera Formats

In this Blog post I will be talking about different types of genres such as

Live


Sports Tennis Nadal vs Federer


Practical

The reason why Multi Camera is used in sports is because they want  simultaneous recording coverage of action at 10:24 this allows them to capture the action at the same time this will mean that someone will have to film the audience at 3:07 with the camera and another camera film the tennis court and then another camera will film the two athletes so all of these movements will be captured at the same time but if it was single camera it would not cover the action because at each section you will have to film the tennis court, audience and the athletes this will take time to film because the movement will be quick to capture.
Another thing is that the constraints of the location environment is this the size of the tennis courts for example at 3:07 the cameras allow you to see the size of the tennis court and this match is held in Melbourne  and the size of the area is big so they would use cameras to try to cover the size of the tennis court.


Aesthetic
In this footage Communicating meaning to the viewer is done through  fast editing because it a tennis match and the movement for this sport is fast and to get the audience at each time switching each cameras to the audience then to the athletes also they would have used various camera shot's such as mid shot, long shot, close up and a high angle shot. It helps the audience see everything that is happening. If the tennis player is laughing then  it will show the audience reacting and finding it funny at 0:11 the athlete is focused because he wants to win so immediately the audience feels intense because they don't know who will win. Maintaining the viewers interest is done as you can see the facial expression of the audience for example at 10;03 you can see the facial expression of the member of the audience and his face is focused on the tennis match.

Concert

Practical

In this Micheal Jackson concert they specifically use Multi Camera because it can cover the action for example at 0:02 you can see the crowd and they are using various camera shots and it will try to cover the whole area for example at 3:53 you can see the area such as the artist, the audience and throughout the concert but if it was a single camera it would not be able to cover the action because the movement will be too fast and it will take time adjust the camera to the correct position because at each time the audience will miss out the action for example you will miss out on the audience and the artist. They also use different cameras because if the audience miss out an action the other cameras would cover the footage but  if it was a single camera it would only  film half of the footage because the movement of the action would be too fast. With multi camera it allows you to catch the reaction of the audience and  it lets the audience capture different angles of the president and it's focused in that specif element but with single camera the audience would have to do a lot of moving around because it would have been hard to film.

If not it would just be one long shot which would be boring. By covering the action an example of this is at 0:15 you can see the whole area from the interviewers to the audience.

In this video it specifically uses Multi camera because it allows you to cover the action  for example at 0;43 you can see whats going on in this video and it try's to cover everything such as the stage and the audience also the artist that is performing and if it was a single camera it would not be able to cover the action because the movement will be to quick and with a  Multi camera everything is structured and they stick to that specific section but it will still have move ability and with Multi camera they will be the camera operator that is filming different sections of the Talent show.
Constraints of studio or location environment at 2:09 it looks like the talent show was hosted in an arena because it's the final and it's a big event and they need to use  various cameras to film this talent show because it will try to see the reaction the artist and the audience.
